The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 618 requires states to make publicly available data on programs serving children ages 3 through 21 (Part B) including the count of students served and performance on State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR) priority indicators. The data provided through public reporting increases transparency, accountability, and provides local education agencies (LEAS) with an opportunity to apply data to improve outcomes for all youth with disabilities served under IDEA.
