This application is for individuals who have completed all the requirements for their three (3)-year interim certificate and are now seeking their five (5)-year renewable certificate.
A complete application must include the following items:
- Checks and money orders are to be made payable to the State Department of Education (SDE)
- Credit cards are not accepted at this time
- Payment is non-refundable
- Cash in the exact amount will be accepted for walk-ins
See your interim certificate for conditions and provide the appropriate supporting documentation, this may include transcripts, test scores, etc.
Non-Traditional Program Candidates (Completers of ABCTE, TFA, CSI or LCSC):
- The signed District/Charter Mentor Recommendation Form for Non-Traditional Completers**
**If you previously were working on mentor requirements listed on the Mentor Checklist (Impact on Student Learning, Performance Assessment Portfolio, Literature Review and Observation Standards for Assessing Teacher Performance and Proficiency Rubric) and the Evaluator Checklist, please work with your mentor and administrator to ensure alignment with the verifications of the District/Charter and Mentor Recommendation for Non-Traditional Completers (ABCTE, TFA, CSI or LCSC). - If you are unsure of your requirements please contact our office at (208) 332-6882
Idaho Comprehensive Literacy Course/Assessment
The Idaho Comprehensive Literacy Course (ICLC) is offered through university providers at a variety of venues throughout Idaho. The Idaho Comprehensive Literacy requirement can be fulfilled by completing and passing an in-person or online course, or by successful completion of the Idaho Comprehensive Literacy Assessment. Mathematical Thinking for Instruction/Teaching Mathematical Thinking
