The Idaho USDA Foods Advisory Council’s (AC) primary objective is to increase participation in school meals programs across the state. Members of the AC serve as representatives for all Idaho recipient agencies (RA) by participating in food shows, State agency trainings, and council meetings. Members work with the State Distributing Agency (SDA) to assess available USDA Foods products and determine which items, among the more than 200 currently available, will provide the best value for Idaho schools and students. The council welcomes input from all stakeholders and will continually focus on improving communication throughout their community about the USDA Foods Program.
