On August 9, the Idaho Military Division will host an exclusive free one-day training event at Gowen Field in Boise for Idaho educators. Educators may apply these training hours towards meeting Idaho’s professional development requirements for recertification. Space is limited to the first 25 registrants.
This seminar highlights the Guard’s many educational offerings, and provides educators with a deeper understanding about programs that directly serve K-12 students, such as the STEM education course Idaho STARBASE and the Idaho Youth Challenge Academy. The seminar will also cover:
- Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR)
- Family Programs that support members of the military, veterans and their families
- Bridging the skills gap
Transportation while you are at Gowen Field, and a catered lunch, will be provided. The event will conclude with an up-close and personal tour of an Air National Guard A-10 Warthog and an Army UH60 Blackhawk, along with a question and answer period.
